Some images I have been gathering to inspire a new line of barnacle inspired jewelry utilizing whale bone ivory. More to come…

I have been looking through some old files feeling lethargic and here are some really cool images i dug up while doing research for the index show website i curated in 2011. I named the show Notions to harken back to the objects that resided in the Porteous Department Store before it became MECA but also because the definition of a Notion as ‘an individual’s impression of something known, experienced or imagined: a theory or belief held by a person or group.’ Without a theory or some belief we would not have art. Any way here are some cool pictures of a place i called home for an extended amount of time.

Dead Tech

Photos scanned from the book Dead Tech: A Guide to the Archeology of Tomorrow. I would so gladly live in any of these places and fix them up into habitable museums built by a Ludite from the waste of a race of progressive dandy fops. Gives my goose bumps.
